my first time paragliding was summer of 2003 at Aspen colorado with Dick Jackson who is really good friend with my father Pema Dorjee. First I was really nervous, but I had so much fun. It is a great experiance. Everyone must try once in their life. I also got to paraglide with Dale at the point of mountain, ut.
That was cool!

I was so excited when Surya(manager of himlayan kitchen) called me and told me that they are going to open a nepali resturant in SLC. I went there recently, and it’s my favorite resturant ever. I like to go there more oftan. I love sherpa foods like MOMO. it is my favorite. You must try MOMO. It taste so good.:)
Dani,the website looks really good and it is always so fun to read what you have to say.

I’ve had the change to meet a few interesting people from Kathmandu myself and I always wanted to taste their traditional food. When I found Himalayan Kitchen in Salt Lake City I just had to try it and I must say it is good, then again I don’t know the diffeence between Indian and Nepal food; all I know is that now I’ve had a taste of Katmandu/India.

If anyone here in Utah know of a Himalayan restaurant post it here or feel free to email me, I’ll be looking for more tips, good places to visit and enjoy!.

The kids on the photo look so cute:) Yeah, most of the kids I met on the trail in Annapurna were really cute and innocent, but I also met some begging for candies and other sweets whenever foreign trekkers passed by. I was quite unhappy to see them so spoiled… I saw a Western couple handing proudly a hand of chocolate to the kids when I was trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp. It was clear who has spoiled those kids… We, who are seen as ‘strangers coming from rich countries’ should be more aware of those behaviors…

so – congratulations welcome back… Just one question. with all your smelly clothes – did you bring any blood sucking critters home with you. I’ve been hearing a lot lately about the bed bugs? did they bite? Was it too cold or were you even too stinkey for them?
I really look forward to the pictures of Nepal!!

Thanks, Daniel, I just spent a couple hours reading your entries since October 9th. What an adventure you’ve had! I’m glad you’re all back safe, and look forward to reading more of your reflections. I still think you should write a book.
